 F The chamber orchestra Marked Passages was first performed in Jor-
dan Hall, Boston, 28 Apr 1928, by Nicolas Slonimsky and his Chamber
Orchestra of Boston. The same set was played by the same group on
10 Jan 1931?but this time as Sinfonietta, though the last movement
was still Marked Passages. Already, on 2 Jun 1928, the work had been
played in Los Angeles as Symphonietta, by Adolph Tandler and his
Little Symphony at the Biltmore Hotel. On 7 Feb 1931 Slonimsky
and his Boston group took the work to the New School in New York;
they covered all bets by billing it as Marked Passages (Sinfonietta).

are at LC in 22p, with HC's inscription via SRC: "This version played
by Slonimsky with Boston Chamber Orchestra."
