 D [Dec?] 1939. No. 50, under 1939, on HC's list C2, subtitled A Move-
ment for Full Symphony Orchestra, said to have been written "at the
request of Arthur Cohn, of the Philadelphia Federal Symphony Or-
chestra, for performance there." Mr. Cohn, however, has assured and
reassured this cataloger that he never saw the materials, never per-
formed the work.

 D On list C2, under 1939, HC notes that he arranged the orchestral work
for the San Quentin Concert Band at the request of its director.
 F Probably at San Quentin, date unrecorded. On 25 Jan 1942 the work
was played in the Auditorium of the U.S. Military Academy, West
Point, by the U.S. Military Academy Band, cond. Francis E. Resta
(notice in Middletown [NY] Times-Herald, 26 Jan 1942).
