Andante
D 31 Dec 1944. Source (a): "Written for Sidney, at Shady, New Year's
Eve, 1945." SRC agrees that 1945 belongs with "New Year" rather
than with "Eve"?that the date of composition was 31 Dec 1944, not
1945, because the song was sung as early as February 1945.
T Poem by Robert Frost; according to SRC, HC took it from Collected
Poems of Robert Frost (New York: Henry Holt, 1940), p[l].
