15 Rippling Waters, Waltz [and 3 miniatures for piano]
Presto - Waltz
 D ca 1911
M Pencil draft on large orchestral score paper: first 5m of intro, then
29m of simple waltz, then on to A Rag (5m), A Wee Melody (8m),
and Melody (4m)?none entered here separately
16ASonate [in G minor, and other sketches for piano]
Largo - Adageo - Allegro - Adageo
 D ca 1911
M The pencil draft starts diligently on this 4p fold (Largo, 14m; Adageo,
"Pausa" plus "tacet"; Allegro, 10m; Adageo, 6m) but then runs off
to play with more truants: A Melody (5m), Waltz (30m), and yet
another Waltz?so titled but with A Wave written through the words
and its tune splashed against the bottom of p4 of 4, unfinished after
31m.
17 [Waltzes and other sketches for piano]
 D ca 1911
M Pencil sketches continuing the pattern of no. 15: a quick succession
of Waltz Andante (42m), Adageo (4m, incomplete). Allegro (8m, com-
plete). On the verso are Adageo (7m), Waltz (7m, treble only). Largo
(5m), Introduction Fantastical, Moderate (5m). These "medleys" are
perhaps exercises in styles more than efforts at outright composition.
18 Andantino [and other fragments for piano]
 D ca 1911-12
 M Pencil sketches on a 4p fold: Andantino in Bl» (14m); A Dirge of 8
solid measures featuring the Scottish snap but fading into a "Fast"
waltz that holds together for 37m. A tear at the bottom of the 2nd
leaf hides any sign of connection between that section and the fast
waltz on the verso. At the top of the verso are a few giant measures
that were first headed Dirge; bat on top of that word sprawls a large
SONATA, whose few measures quickly fade into nothing.
19 Etude [in C minor for piano]
Moderate - Leggiaro
D ca 1911-12. Dating uncertain; could be earlier.
