D Jan-Jun 1912? "Dedicated to Mrs. Robinson" (caption). The dedica-

 D Jul-Dec 1912 (CD 1)
M Letter from HC to Harry Cowell, 12 Jan 1913: "I have finished Opus
Iby Henry Cowell, and bound it, as a Christmas present to myself."
Alas, he soon lost it. Only nos. 27/2 and 27/4 are known from surviv-
ing copies. The heading and information below about the other 10
pieces are taken from CD.
C SRC points out that these pieces are given collective form only by then-
binding and listing as such; that they were composed separately, not
as parts of the whole.
